Where I Run - EP releasing Aug. 20!

“I’m a runner,” says 22-year-old Southern California based country/Americana singer-songwriter Casey Ahern in regards to choosing Where I Run as the title for her new EP full of quick, energizing movement that inhabits each of its tracks. The five song collection includes singles “Bradley,” “Didn’t Even Get a Goodbye,” “Just a Dance,” “Sunday Driver,” and “Heartbreak Radio” and will be releasing August 20, 2021.

Produced and recorded at Nashville’s Sound Emporium Studios by the veteran production team of Nathan Meckel and Mark Niemiec (aka The Buzz Brothers), Where I Run features a powerhouse ensemble of veteran Music City musicians – guitarists Tim Galloway (Josh Turner, Luke Bryan) and Kris Donegan (Brett Eldredge, Shania Twain), bassist Lee Hendricks (Eric Church), keyboardist David Dorn (Tim McGraw, Kelsea Ballerini), drummer Matt King (Maren Morris, Brothers Osborne), two time Grammy nominated violinist Eamon McLoughlin (Rodney Crowell, The Band Perry) and background vocalist Kaci Bolls (recorded demos cut by Carrie Underwood, Sara Evans).

“Each track has a feeling of forward or backward running motion and creates its own unique world,” says Casey. “They’re all in some way about the places I run physically or mentally to escape and reflect on life, and each offers a glimpse of one of those special places. Together now, the EP creates a unique narrative of the past few years.”
